Most beginning and intermediate swimmers participate in our regular group classes. This program ranges in ages from 3 to 10 and is further broken down into teaching groups based upon age and ability. Students in this group can expect to learn and accomplish a multitude of skills, all important steps towards successful swimming.
Children are grouped by age and ability at their first lesson. New swimmers will be asked questions about previous swimming experience and will be placed in groups accordingly. Our small class size, with no more than a 1:4 instructor to swimmer ratio or better, offers every child the opportunity to learn and succeed in meeting and executing new skills.
Children in the group lesson should come prepared in their bathing suit. Goggles are recommended, but not required, and are available for purchase at our swim shop HobieSwim. Children with long hair should have their hair pulled back and away from their face. Towels and shoes will be left outside of the pool with a parent.
