2019 Summer of Success for Swim School Graduates
Long Island Swim School would like to congratulate the following swimmers on their achievements at the Junior National Level this summer. These 6 athletes started their swimming journey in our lesson and stroke clinic pools... For us, there's nothing better than watching our graduates get to the higher levels in our sport! When people ask what makes our school different, this is it... The Long Island Swim School process provides a path to competitive greatness for anyone willing to work for it. Congrats JC, Isabella, Lauryn, Sophia, Briana, and Cavan.
These 6 were among LIAC's 12 USA Junior National Qualifiers this summer. Long Island Aquatic club is the competitive branch of the Long Island Swimming organization - which starts with Long Island Swim School. The team competed in Palo Alto California in August, where Sophia took home the individual gold in the 1500m freestyle. LIAC's relay won the women's 800 freestyle relay and took 3rd in the 400 freestyle relay. The women's team also took home the team title! Our team placed an athlete and a coach on the USA Swimming Junior World Team. Jason Louser and Ginny Nussbaum traveled to Budapest in late August as members of Team USA. Jason swam his best time in the 400m Individual Medley! LIAC is currently ranked number 5 in the country and placed 3 swimmers on the USA Junior National Team for 2019 (one of only 3 teams to place 3 or more athletes on the roster!) LIAC has already had 6 swimmers qualify for next summer's Olympic Trials.
Your swimmer's may be small right now, but as a member of our Long Island Swim School program, they are part of something big! When children get the swimming bug, and learn the skills the right way, they learn to swim for life... Who knows what their futures will hold!
