NOT SURE WHERE TO START?
Most children start in our group lesson program. Students are placed in groups based on age and ability at their first lesson. Sign up for the day and time that works for your schedule, and come consistently on that day and time for the duration of the session. Use the criteria below to find the right level for your swimmer.
TODDLER LESSONS |
30 minutes 1:1 ratio
Ages 22 - 36 months Choose TODDLER LESSONS All children ages 22 - 36 months start in our toddler classes regardless of previous swimming experience or ability. Instructors work with your child one on one to help them gain respect for the water and learn basic skills to get them moving. Our instructors will encourage both enthusiastic and apprehensive first timers to help them understand that learning to swim is fun! |
GROUP LESSONS |
30 minutes 1:4 ratio
Ages 3 - 10 years choose GROUP LESSONS Ages 11-14 years choose YOUNG ADULT LESSONS Children beginner through intermediate start in our group lesson classes. Students are divided into groups based on age and ability at their first lesson. Children learn the breathing, body position, kick, and pull associated with each stroke. Skills are taught individually at first, and are eventually combined as each child is developmentally ready. When students graduate from the group lesson program they will be able to move themselves across the pool by swimming 25 yards of each stroke! |
STROKE CLINIC |
40 minutes 1:12 ratio
Swimmers must be evaluated and placed into stroke clinic by a member of our staff To qualify for the stroke clinic, children should be able to demonstrate each of the four competitive strokes without the assistance of an instructor. There are three levels of stroke clinic: Beginner SC, Regular SC, and Young Adult SC. Each level builds on the skills learned at the previous stage. Swimmers will start to complete age appropriate sets designed to help refine technique and build the stamina necessary to compete on a swim team. |
