Sunday March 15, 2020 - COVID-19 UPDATE
Dear Long Island Swim School Families,
As you are by now aware, Nassau County Schools are closed for the next two weeks. To follow suit, Long Island Swim School will postpone the start of our Spring Session (scheduled to begin tomorrow 3/16). We will keep you updated as our plans develop.

Saturday March 14, 2020 - COVID-19 UPDATE
Dear Long Island Swim School Families,
In light of current events, we are making every effort to continue offering a safe place for Long Island Swim School swimmers and their families. At this time we plan to start our Spring classes as scheduled on Monday. Your class day and time will be confirmed in an email to follow.
Swimming is different from most other activities, where children share mats, equipment, and touch the same balls and surfaces. In the pool, our students and equipment are constantly being exposed to chlorine. During this time of uncertainty, we are committed to offering your children some normalcy, and of course an outlet for their energy, as long as it is safe to do so.
The locker rooms are now being completely sprayed down and disinfected twice daily in addition to the already thorough cleaning schedule we doubled down on last week. We continue to encourage good hygiene practices among students and staff. Attendance is low, and in an effort to create more social distance in our waiting areas we ask that only one parent per student attend classes whenever possible.
If your school is closed or you or a family member are exhibiting symptoms please stay home. Our make up policy for the Spring is now completely flexible and we will work with you and your families to make up any classes missed because of illness, symptoms, or fear.
The health and safety of Long Island Swim School students, staff, and families remains our top priority. We will continue to keep you updated as we navigate this ever-evolving situation.
