Swimmers of the Month

For each level of group lessons and stroke clinic one swimmer is recognized for being an all-around role model for their class. The Swimmer of the Month shows dedication, enthusiasm, and a strong desire to improve their strokes. They show up to class on time, with all their equipment, and ready to learn and listen in the pool. We love to see swimmers consistently go the extra mile. Will you be the next Swimmer of the Month?!

Regan has come a long way in the last few weeks. Regan is able to do freestyle arms with his face in the water. Regan is a joy to have in my class each week. He is a great listener and super energetic. He always brings a smile to my face when I see him learn a new skills and how happy he gets.  He is an amazing student to teach.

Reese
Reese has been improving every week. Her backstroke kicks are not only amazing but she is able to do them independently. She has started to wear a one bubble and is able to do kick and roll all by herself. She is always listening in class and is ready to learn the next task. Reese is a great role model for her other classmates to follow

Congrats to Emery on an amazing month of swimming.  The first two weeks of the session she was nervous and shy.  Now she loves coming to class to swim with her friends and her teachers.  She does more and more on her own at every lesson... including  putting her face in the water!  Keep up the great swimming Emery!
Lane 2
It's been a big month for Ella.  She moved from a two bubble to a one bubble, and from swimming with help to swimming independently!  Watch out for her butterfly... you should see that swing!  Keep it up Ella!

Lucas has those breaststroke feet!  His breaststroke kick has always been out of this world, but this month he put it together with the pull and now he's shooting down the pool like an arrow!  Backstroke has been more of a struggle, but he is doing more and more on his own each week and that is something to be proud of.  Keep it up Lucas!
Lane 4
Go Natalie Go!  She's always been happy and smiley in class, but Natalie's swimming has really taken off this session.  The month of May was a big one.  Her butterfly and breaststroke both improved so much that she's off to stroke clinic next session!  Keep up the great work at the next level Natalie!

Beginner Stroke Clinic
Campbell Olcott is a new swimmer to our Beginner Red Stroke Clinic this session! Campbell is always ready and on time every week. Since day one she has been working hard on fixing her backstroke and butterfly. It’s great to see her holding her line at the surface of the water and seeing her arms swing over the water! She gives each class her all and works hard consistently each week. What’s great to see is when there is a correction to be made, she listens and applies what the instructor tells her. Her underwater streamlines are coming along great! She works hard at trying to do what the instructor advises her in class. We’re excited to see Campbell continue to progress throughout the session. Way to go Campbell!

Intermediate Stroke Clinic
Lilian Coratti has been in the Long Island Swim School program since she was a toddler! She is now in Intermediate White Stroke Clinic at 6 years old! It has been amazing to watch her progression in and out of the pool. Her consistency allows her to advance from blowing bubbles and learning how to get in and out of the pool safely to now wearing a snorkel and doing sailboat drill with her freestyle kick helping her move forward. She is always happy and eager to learn! She recently learned how to dive from the racing blocks at the aquatic center and we can’t wait to do it over and over again in class! Keep it up Lilian!

Picture
Advanced Stroke Clinic
Charlotte Corallo is in Advanced Blue Stroke Clinic and currently swims twice a week. Charlotte has a positive and energetic attitude every time she comes to class. Every week she comes to class on time and ready to learn! Always ready with equipment and great leader in the group. She knows the drills and applies them without hesitation. She works hard every class to achieve her swim goals. She also competed in our Stroke Clinic May Mayhem Mini Meet! Her racing starts and streamlines continue to improve every week! She’s never afraid to ask for help and asks great questions during class. Charlotte continues to excel each week. She’s a great lane leader and is always interacting with the other swimmers in her class. The focus and dedication she demonstrates in class is fantastic to work with every week. Nice work Charlotte!

He consistently signs up for twice a week in every session and continues to build his muscle memory and endurance in the pool! He loves coming to swim and it really shows! His body line in his freestyle continues to improve every class. He does a great job catching the water in front of his face and pushing it to his feet. THERE WAS A TIE!

Thomas always comes into class asking what we are going to learn for the day. He is eager to learn more and wants to progress in all his strokes. He used to want to go behind everyone in the lane and not want to be first. Now he comes into class wanting to be first and try his hardest to stay first. He is improving in all his strokes and his endurance is improving as well. Keep up the good work Thomas!

Adelyn is quiet and she flies under the radar, but tries her best every class. She comes into class, puts her snorkel on right away, and hops in the water ready and waiting for instructions. She corrects her stroke when asked to and does not rush with her strokes. She has been trying her hardest every class and I’m excited to see Adelyn progresses throughout the session. Great job Adelyn Keep up the great work!
